VSSC ISRO Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27: Walk-in for 460 Posts

Short Information: Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), ISRO's lead centre under the Department of Space, is holding a single-day Selection Drive on 25 July 2026 to fill 460 Apprentice Trainee positions for the 2026-27 training year — 273 Graduate Apprentice seats and 187 Technician Apprentice seats. There's no online application process here at all: candidates simply walk in with their original documents to the Karthika Thirunal Govt. V&GHSS for Girls in Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM on the selection day itself, and no other mode of application is accepted. Electronics Engineering leads the Graduate stream at 43 seats and Mechanical Engineering at 45, while the General Stream (Non-Engineering) category alone accounts for 100 seats, covering administrative training in Administration, Finance & Accounts, and Purchase. On the Technician side, Chemical Engineering (25 seats), Mechanical Engineering (50 seats), and Diploma in Commercial Practice (25 seats) carry the bulk of the openings. Eligibility here is unusually strict on timing — candidates who completed their Degree or Diploma before April 2022, or more than 5 years before the offer of training, are not eligible, and neither are those still awaiting final-year results or already holding apprenticeship experience elsewhere. Selection is purely merit-based on the marks scored in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination, with due weightage given to reservation categories — there's no written test or interview round. The stipend is ₹12,300 per month for Graduate Apprentices and ₹10,900 per month for Technician Apprentices, for a one-year training period starting from the date of joining.
