A syllabus tells you exactly what is examined, and the exam pattern tells you how. Together they decide how your preparation time should be divided, which is why both are worth reading before you start studying rather than midway through.

Each post on this page sets out the subjects, the topics under each subject, the number of questions, the marks distribution, the time allowed and the negative marking, along with a link to the official syllabus PDF where one has been published.

Compare the syllabus with previous year papers before making a study plan. Boards repeat topic areas heavily from one cycle to the next, and the weight a topic actually carries in the paper is often clearer from past papers than from the syllabus document itself.
