UPSC NDA-II Examination 2025Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or certain East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Marital Status: Only unmarried male / female candidates are eligible. Marriage during the course of training is strictly prohibited.
- For Army Wing of NDA: Candidate must have passed the 12th Class (10+2 Pattern) examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- For Air Force, Naval Wings of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: Candidate must have passed 12th Class (10+2 Pattern) examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board.
- Candidates appearing in the 12th Class examination are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing by the stipulated date.
- Candidate must be physically and medically fit as per the physical standards laid down by the Ministry of Defence.

- Stage 1 — Written Examination (Objective Type): Mathematics (300 Marks) + General Ability Test (600 Marks) = Total 900 Marks.
- Stage 2 — SSB Interview / Intelligence & Personality Test conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) — 900 Marks, spread over 5 days.
- Stage 3 — Medical Examination as per prescribed defence standards.
- Stage 4 — Final Merit List is prepared on the basis of combined marks of Written Examination and SSB Interview (Total 1800 Marks).

- Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen & Paper, OMR Based).
- Question Type: Objective / Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Total Marks: 900 (Written) + 900 (SSB Interview) = 1800 Marks.
- Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes (2½ Hours) per paper.
- Language: Mathematics and Part-B of GAT will be Bilingual (English & Hindi); Part-A English is in English only.
- Negative Marking: Yes — 1/3rd (0.33) of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Calculators / Log Tables: Not allowed inside the examination hall.

Recruitment Details: SSB Interview — Stage Details
- Stage-I (Screening Test): Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test + Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Candidates are shortlisted based on combined performance.
- Stage-II (Main Test): Conducted over 4 days — Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, Personal Interview, and Conference.
- Assessment: Personality assessed by three assessors — Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing Officer (GTO), and Psychologist — with equal weightage.
- Total Marks for SSB: 900 Marks (equal to the Written Exam).

UPSC NDA-II Examination 2025How to Check Result
- Visit the official UPSC Online Application portal at https://upsconline.nic.in.
- Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) / Universal Registration by creating an account and filling the Common Application Form.
- Log in and click on the link for 'National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025'.
- Fill the examination-specific module carefully — select preferences of services (Army/Navy/Air Force/Naval Academy) in order of priority.
- Upload required documents — recent photograph, signature, photo ID proof (Aadhaar recommended), and other certificates as specified.
- Pay the application fee of ₹100 (Gen/OBC) through Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI / Net Banking. SC/ST/Female/Wards of JCOs-NCOs are exempted.
