Short Information: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially released the Final Result for the State & Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination 2024 (Advt No: 13/Exam/RAS&RTS/RPSC/EP-I/2024-25) for a total of 1096 RAS & RTS posts (increased from original 733). This was a golden opportunity for candidates having a Bachelor's Degree in any stream to join the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services as gazetted officers. Interested candidates had applied online from 19 September 2024 to 18 October 2024 and the Final Result was declared on 18 April 2026 through the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature OR an Institution declared to be a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, OR possess an equivalent qualification recognized by Government.
  • Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025): Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 40 Years. Candidate must have completed 21 years and not completed 45 years as on 01/01/2025.
  • Marital Status (Rajasthan Natives): Rajasthan domicile candidates must have registered their marriage as per Rajasthan Marriage Registration Act, if applicable.
  • Character: Candidate must bear good moral character with no criminal record (pending or convicted).
  • Candidates Appearing in Final Year: Candidates appearing in the final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing before the commencement of the Main Examination.
  • Reservation Benefit: Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EBC/EWS) are applicable only to Rajasthan domicile candidates. Non-Rajasthan candidates are treated as General category irrespective of their home state category.

  1. Stage 1 — Preliminary Examination: Single objective paper of 200 marks (screening test only — marks not counted in final merit).
  2. Stage 2 — Main Examination: Four descriptive/analytical papers of 200 marks each (Total 800 Marks).
  3. Stage 3 — Personality & Viva-Voce Test: Interview of 100 marks conducted by RPSC panel.
  4. Stage 4 — Document Verification & Medical Examination for final appointment.
  5. Final Merit List is prepared on the basis of Main Exam (800) + Interview (100) = Total 900 Marks (Prelims marks NOT counted in final merit).

Recruitment Details: RPSC RAS 2024 — Exam Overview

  • Mode of Prelims Exam: Offline (OMR Based) / Online (CBT).
  • Mode of Mains Exam: Offline (Descriptive / Analytical — Pen & Paper).
  • Medium: Hindi or English (candidate must choose one; mixing not allowed except where specifically permitted).
  • Prelims Standard: Bachelor's Degree Level.
  • Mains Standard: Senior Secondary (for Hindi/English paper) and Graduation Level (for General Studies).
  • Negative Marking (Prelims): 1/3rd of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Critical Rule: A candidate who has NOT darkened circles in MORE THAN 10% of total questions shall be DISQUALIFIED.
  • Five Options Rule: Each question has 5 options (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). If the candidate does NOT attempt a question, s/he must darken option '5' — if none of the 5 circles is darkened, 1/3rd negative mark will be deducted.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks in Mains: 10% in each paper and 15% in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST).
  • Tie-Breaking Rule: Marks shall be rounded off up to two decimal digits; standard tie-breaking via written total → GAT equivalent → age.

RPSC RAS & RTS Recruitment 2024How to Check Result

  1. Visit the official RPSC website https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
  2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) via the SSO Rajasthan Portal using Jan Aadhaar / Aadhaar / PAN / Voter ID / Driving License.
  3. Login with SSO credentials and navigate to 'Recruitment Portal' under Citizen Apps (G2C).
  4. Find the 'RAS & RTS Combined Competitive Examination 2024' notification and click Apply Online.
  5. Fill the Application Form with personal, educational, category, domicile and contact details — ensuring all entries match your OTR profile exactly.
  6. Upload scanned copies of recent Photograph, Signature, and Thumb Impression (additional thumb impression on exam day will also be taken).
  7. Pay the application fee — ₹600 for Gen/BC-OBC Creamy/Other State, ₹400 for OBC-NCL/BC/EBC/EWS/SC/ST/PH — via E-Mitra Cash or Online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking/UPI).
  8. Preview the application carefully and click Final Submit — note down the Application Number. If no Application Number is shown, your form is NOT submitted.
  9. Take a printout of the final submitted form for your records.
  10. Corrections (if needed) can be made within 10 days of application end date by paying a ₹500 correction charge (except Name/Father's Name/DOB/Gender/Category-related changes in OTR profile).

Recruitment Note: One Time Registration (OTR) — Mandatory

A One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for all RPSC recruitments. Candidates who have previously completed OTR can directly login via SSO and apply using their OTR Number. OTR profile details — Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category — CANNOT be corrected during application; these must be updated in the OTR profile itself through the SSO portal.

Recruitment Note: Reservation Benefit — Rajasthan Domicile Only

The benefit of reservation under SC / ST / OBC / MBC / EBC / EWS / PwD categories is applicable only to candidates who are Rajasthan domicile. Candidates from other states holding reserved category certificates will be treated as General (Unreserved) for the purpose of this recruitment. Widows and divorced women must submit supporting certificates (death certificate of husband / divorce decree) during document verification.

Recruitment Note: Examination Centres

The Preliminary Examination is conducted at 38+ district headquarters across Rajasthan. The Main Examination is conducted at selected centres — Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer — as decided by the Commission. Allotment of centres is on a first-apply-first-allot basis; candidates are advised to apply early to get their preferred centre.

Recruitment Note: Application Correction Window

Candidates can correct details in their Online Application Form (other than OTR profile fields) within 10 days after the last date of submission, by paying a non-refundable correction charge of ₹500 via online payment. After this window, no correction requests shall be entertained under any circumstances.

Recruitment Note: Probation Period

Selected candidates will be placed on a probation period of 2 years from the date of appointment. Confirmation to the service will be subject to satisfactory completion of probation, including departmental training and examinations, as per the Rajasthan State Service Rules.

Recruitment Note: No Re-Evaluation Provision

There is no provision for re-evaluation / re-checking / scrutiny of the answer sheet or score. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained by the Commission. Fees once paid are non-refundable and non-adjustable.

Recruitment Note: Non-Gazetted Employees (NGE) Provision

Vacancies reserved for Non-Gazetted Employees (NGE) under Rule 17 of the State Service Rules are filled separately — the candidate must have completed at least 5 years of service (substantive or officiating) as on 01/01/2025. NGE candidates compete in the order of their names appearing in the merit list, irrespective of relative marks compared with other candidates.
