SSC Senior Secretariat Assistant UDC LDCE 2025-2026: Apply for 65 Posts
Short Information: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) / Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), 2025 under the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) Cadre of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). This is strictly an internal departmental exam — only serving Lower Division Clerks (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSA) of the CSCS cadre are eligible to appear.
A total of 65 vacancies are on offer for the recruitment year 2025. The post carries Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100), which is a meaningful step-up from the LDC grade's Pay Level-2. If you're currently working as an LDC/JSA with at least 5 years of approved and continuous service as on 01 August 2025, this exam is your structured promotion pathway.
The Computer Based Examination is tentatively scheduled for August 2026 and will be conducted exclusively in the Delhi-NCR region. Applications are open from 25 June 2026 to 16 July 2026. Your printed application must be forwarded by your Head of Department/Office to SSC Northern Region by 23 July 2026 (1800 hrs).
Note that category-wise vacancy breakup (UR/SC/ST) will be communicated separately. Candidates must also ensure they have cleared the typewriting test for LDC confirmation — unless exempted — before the notification date.
