Ans: Selection is based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted in English. For posts where required, a Skill Test/Technical Examination is held after the CBT as a qualifying stage only — its marks are NOT counted in the final merit. Final merit is prepared solely on CBT marks. There is no interview for Group B (Non-Gazetted), C posts as per UP Direct Recruitment Rules 2017.
Q.8 Can UR or EWS category candidates apply for SGPGIMS Backlog Recruitment 2026? ▼
Ans: No. This is a Special Backlog Drive and all 47 vacancies are exclusively reserved for SC (21 posts), ST (4 posts), and OBC (22 posts) candidates. There are zero UR and zero EWS vacancies in this advertisement. Additionally, reserved category candidates must hold valid UP state domicile — those from reserved categories of other states will be treated as UR and are ineligible.
