RRC Central Railway Sports Quota Online Form 2026Eligibility Criteria

Posts are open to all regardless of Community — there is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS in this recruitment.
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Sports performance will be adjudged only on the basis of participation in events held on or after 01/04/2024.
Only Senior National and Junior National Championships are considered for eligibility norms; Rural meets, Festival meets and similar tournaments are not considered.
All championships must be conducted under the aegis of a recognized International/National/State Sports Federation and recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB); per RBE 118/2025, certificates from federations not recognized by MoYAS at the time of the championship are not valid.
Applicants meeting higher eligibility criteria (Level 5/4 or 3/2) are also eligible to apply for Level 1.
Sportspersons with Level 5/4 norms applying only for Level 3/2 will be considered in Level 3/2 only, and must undertake not to claim the higher level later based on pre-joining achievements.
Candidates should be in possession of an Aadhaar Card (or valid alternate ID for J&K, Meghalaya and Assam).
Higher qualification holders must produce graduation/post-graduation certificate at the time of Document Verification & Trial.
Selected candidates must submit a Service Bond of 5 years and perform in their sport for a minimum of 5 years, with performance assessed during the first 2 years (Probation Period).

Performance is reviewed during the first two years (Probation Period), and selected candidates must serve a minimum of 5 years in their field of sport as part of the Service Bond, with employment terminable if sporting performance is found unsatisfactory during this period.

As regular Railway employees, selected candidates receive minimum pay of the allotted Pay Level plus other admissible allowances (DA, HRA, etc.) from the date of appointment, with stipend paid during any prescribed training period.
