PSPCL Assistant Lineman (NAC) Recruitment 2026: 3289 Posts
Short Information: Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released Advertisement No. CRA 317/26 dated 07 June 2026 for recruitment of 3,289 posts of Assistant Lineman (ALM) — exclusively for candidates holding National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade.
This is a separate recruitment from CRA 318/26 (which is for ITI Electrician/Wireman holders). Note: Do NOT apply here if your qualification is ITI Electrician or Wireman — apply under CRA 318/26 instead.
Out of 3,289 total posts, 1,456 are backlog vacancies and 1,833 are new posts. Women reserved seats total 616. The largest reserved categories are SC (MZB) with 544 posts and SC (OT) with 541 posts.
The basic pay is ₹19,900/month as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Estimated in-hand salary after DA and allowances post-probation is approximately ₹28,000–₹35,000/month. Probation period is 3 years.

PSPCL Assistant Lineman NAC Recruitment 2026Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent (10th pass).
- Technical Qualification: National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade. Must be passed by last date of online application (06 July 2026). NAC must be issued by NCVT or equivalent authority.
- Punjabi Language: Must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation level by the last date of application. Mandatory qualifying test (Part-I) of 50 marks in online exam — minimum 50% (25 marks) required to qualify.
- Age Limit: 18–37 years as on 01/01/2026. Relaxation applicable as per Punjab Govt. rules.
- Domicile: Reservation for reserved categories applicable only for Punjab domicile candidates.
- PwD: Partially deaf/hard of hearing, Autism Spectrum Disorder (mild), Specific Learning Disability, Mental Illness — with minimum 40% benchmark disability certificate from Civil Surgeon (Punjab).
- Important: This CRA is exclusively for NAC Lineman trade holders. ITI Electrician/Wireman trade holders must apply under CRA 318/26.

Recruitment Details: Online Exam Overview

- Total Questions: 150 (Part-I: 50 + Part-II: 100).
- Negative Marking: No negative marking for wrong answers.
- Language: Part-I in Punjabi only; Part-II bilingual (English/Punjabi) except Punjabi questions.
- Part-I Qualifying: Minimum 50% (25/50 marks) mandatory — failing disqualifies from Part-II merit.
