Recruitment Note: Duration of Training

The apprenticeship training duration will be 1 year, which may be extended up to 2 years as per provisions of the Apprentice Act 1961 and Rules made thereunder.

Recruitment Note: Place of Training

Training will be conducted at the respective NHPC locations (Project / Power Station / Unit) as per the notification and candidate's selection. Training locations include Dhauliganga (Uttarakhand), Teesta-VI (Sikkim), Uri / Sewa-II / Kishanganga / Region Office Jammu (J&K), Chamera-II / Parbati-II (Himachal Pradesh), and Subansiri Lower HEP (Arunachal Pradesh).

Recruitment Note: Accommodation Policy

Shared bachelor accommodation may be provided to the apprentice at the training location. If accommodation is NOT provided by NHPC, an additional payment of ₹2,500 per month will be made as accommodation allowance.

Recruitment Note: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under NATS

A portion of the stipend is paid directly by the Government of India as DBT under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS): (1) Graduate Apprentices: ₹4,500/month (inclusive in total stipend) | (2) Diploma Apprentices: ₹4,000/month (inclusive in total stipend). Candidate MUST have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account with DBT enabled to receive the Govt. share.

Recruitment Note: Working Hours & Holidays

Apprentices will observe normal office timings as applicable to NHPC employees. They will be entitled to weekly off and holidays as applicable. However, if required to attend office on holidays/weekly offs/beyond office hours due to exigencies, they will NOT be entitled to any compensation (monetary or otherwise).

Recruitment Note: Intellectual Property Rights

Any invention, discovery, or work created by the apprentice during the training will be the sole property of NHPC Limited.

Recruitment Note: Termination Rights

NHPC reserves the right to terminate the apprenticeship at any time for reasons including: absenteeism, indiscipline, misconduct, poor performance, or violation of company policies. The decision of NHPC will be final and binding.

Recruitment Note: IMPORTANT — No Employment Claim

The Apprentice shall have NO claim, whatsoever, as to any extension of training and/or employment in NHPC. NHPC shall not entertain any claims of injury/accident, theft, natural calamity, or any loss inflicted during the course of apprenticeship training.

Recruitment Note: Reservation Policy

Reservation as per the Apprentice Act 1961 will be followed. Applicants claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PwBD must provide caste/category certificate in Government standard format issued by the competent authority. Failing to provide valid certificate will result in the claim being rejected and the candidate being considered under 'General' category only.
