MPSC Group C Main Exam 2025Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be an Indian Citizen (Bharatiya Nagrik).
- Candidate must have passed the MPSC Maharashtra Gat-K Combined Preliminary Exam 2025 (Advt No. 124/2025, exam held 11/01/2026; result declared 04/05/2026). Prelims qualification is mandatory for appearing in Main Exam.
- Age: Minimum 18 Years, Maximum 19-38 Years as on 01/02/2026 (post-wise upper limit applies — see age table).
- Industry Inspector (Udyog Nirikshak): Graduate with B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in relevant engineering/science subjects OR B.Sc. in Science. Marathi language knowledge mandatory.
- Tax Assistant (Kar Sahayak): Graduate in any discipline. Marathi typing minimum 30 WPM AND English typing minimum 40 WPM required. Marathi knowledge mandatory.
- Technical Assistant (Tantrik Sahayak, Vima Sanchanalaya): Graduate with relevant Engineering/Science degree. Marathi knowledge mandatory.
- Deputy Inspector, State Excise (Duyyam Nirikshak): Graduate in any discipline. Minimum physical standards required (Height: Male 165 cm / Female 155 cm; Chest: Male 79 cm min with 5 cm expansion). Marathi knowledge mandatory.
- Clerk-Typist (Lipik-Tanklekhak): 12th Pass (Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent). Marathi typing minimum 30 WPM AND (English typing minimum 40 WPM OR a Govt. Commercial Board typing certificate). Marathi knowledge mandatory.
- Knowledge of Marathi language is mandatory for ALL posts.
- For Clerk-Typist: Candidates must provide Appointing Authority preference order at time of application.
- PwD (Divyang) candidates are entitled to typing test exemption within 2 years from appointment date as per Govt. Resolution dated 16/11/2016.
- Ex-Servicemen are entitled to typing test exemption within 2 years from appointment date as per relevant GR.
- Orphan (Anath) candidates exempted from typing requirement within 2 years as per GR dated 09/07/2022.
- Part-time/departmental employees exempted from typing requirement within 2 years as per GR dated 04/09/2015.

- Stage 2: Maharashtra Gat-K Service Main Examination 2025 (Scheduled 12/07/2026) — 2 Papers, 400 Marks total (General Written Exam).
- Stage 3: Typing Test (Tanklekhak Pariksha) — for Tax Assistant and Clerk-Typist posts only.

- Tax Assistant: Marathi Typing minimum 30 WPM AND English Typing minimum 40 WPM; passing State Commercial Board exam mandatory.
- Clerk-Typist: Marathi Typing minimum 30 WPM AND (English Typing minimum 40 WPM OR Govt. Commercial Board typing certificate in English). Alternatively, Basic Computer Typing Course (English 40 WPM, Marathi 30 WPM) is accepted.
- Note: Typing Test is conducted post written exam. Candidates without valid typing certificate at time of application will be disqualified.
