Karnataka Agriculture Officer and Assistant Agriculture Officer Recruitment 2026: Apply for 927 Posts
Short Information: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced direct recruitment for Agriculture Officer (Krishi Adhikari) and Assistant Agriculture Officer (Sahayaka Krishi Adhikari) posts under the Karnataka Agriculture Department. This combined recruitment covers two separate rosters — the Regular Promotion Cadre (RPC) with 670 posts and the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) Region with 257 posts — bringing the total to 927 regular posts plus 18 backlog vacancies.
These are Group-B permanent government posts under the 2024 Revised Pay Matrix. Agriculture Officers draw a pay scale of ₹69,250–₹1,34,200 (approx. ₹90,000–₹95,000/month in-hand including DA and HRA), while Assistant Agriculture Officers are placed at ₹65,950–₹1,24,900 (approx. ₹85,000–₹90,000/month). Both posts offer a 2-year probation period with full NPS pension, medical benefits, and Karnataka state government service perks.
The minimum qualification is a BSc (Agriculture) for Sl.85-rate posts. For Sl.15-rate Agriculture Officer posts, candidates with B.Tech (Food Science & Technology), BSc (Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation), BSc (Agri Business Management), BSc (Agri Biotechnology), BSc (Agri Engineering), and related degrees are also eligible. - Must hold a degree from a university recognized by UGC / ICAR / AICTE in India. Degrees from correspondence / distance learning courses or online-only programs without practical components are NOT eligible.
- For Sl.85 Rate posts (Agriculture Officer & Assistant Agriculture Officer): BSc (Agriculture) OR BSc (Hons.) Agriculture.
- For Sl.15 Rate posts (Agriculture Officer & Assistant Agriculture Officer): B.Tech (Food Science & Technology) / B.Tech (Food Technology) / BSc (Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation) / BSc (Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, Hons.) / BSc (Agri Business Management, Hons.) / BSc (Agri Biotechnology) / BSc (Agri Biotechnology, Hons.) / BSc (Agricultural Engineering) / B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering).
- Candidates whose qualifying degree result is awaited at the time of application are NOT eligible. The degree must have been obtained on or before the last date of application (20/06/2026).
- Must be an Indian Citizen.
