Q.7 What is the selection process for Karnataka Agriculture Officer Recruitment 2026? ▼
Ans: The selection process has two stages: First, a written competitive examination consisting of Paper-1 (General Studies, 300 marks, 2 hours) and Paper-2 (Subject-specific, 300 marks, 2 hours), both in Offline OMR mode with 0.75 negative marking. Minimum qualifying marks are 35 out of 300 per paper. Second, a Mandatory Kannada Language Test is conducted separately — it is qualifying only (minimum 50 marks out of 150 required), and marks are not added to merit. Final merit is based solely on the written exam marks. There is no interview.
Q.8 What is the difference between RPC and KK roster for this recruitment? ▼
Ans: Two separate notifications have been issued: RPC (Regular Promotion Cadre) with 670 vacancies covers the general Karnataka roster and is open to all eligible Karnataka candidates. The KK (Kalyana Karnataka) roster with 257 vacancies is specifically for the Hyderabad-Karnataka region (Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal, Ballari, Vijayanagara districts) under Article 371(J). The exam dates differ — RPC exam is on 26 July 2026 and KK exam is on 25 July 2026. Eligible candidates from Kalyana Karnataka may apply for both, but separately.
