J&K Bank Apprentice Online Form 2026Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University/Institute. Candidate must have passed Graduation on or after 01/01/2022. Only Graduates are eligible to apply for apprenticeship under NATS.
  • Language Proficiency: Candidate should be proficient in the local/official language of the respective region/area as recognized by the State/UT and must have studied the local/official language as a subject in Class 10th or Class 12th.
  • Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026): Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 28 Years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD etc. as per Government of India guidelines.
  • Previous Apprenticeship Disqualifier: Candidates who have already undergone Apprenticeship in J&K Bank or any other organization, or are currently pursuing apprenticeship under Apprentices Act 1961, or were terminated during apprenticeship due to their own fault — are NOT eligible.
  • Prior Work Experience Disqualifier: Candidates who have undergone training or have job experience of 1 year or more after attainment of educational qualification are NOT eligible.
  • Apprenticeship Portal Registration: Mandatory registration on https://nats.education.gov.in before applying. Aadhaar, Mobile, and Bank Account must be inter-linked with DBT enabled.
  • One Application per District/Area: Candidate can apply for only ONE district/area. Multiple applications — only the latest one will be considered.
  • NO claim to regular employment: Apprentice shall have NO right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training.

J&K Bank Apprentice Online Form 2026Selection Process Steps

  1. Stage 1 — Online Written Test (Objective Type): 100 Questions, 100 Marks, 60 Minutes. Merit-based selection.
  2. Stage 2 — Merit List Preparation: District/Region-wise and Category-wise merit list drawn based on aggregate marks in descending order.
  3. Stage 3 — Tie-Breaking Rule: If two or more candidates score the same marks, ranking will be based on age (descending order — elder candidate preferred first).
  4. Stage 4 — Document Verification: Original documents will be verified by the Bank.
  5. Stage 5 — Medical Fitness: Candidates must be declared medically fit by a qualified medical practitioner engaged by the Bank.
  6. Stage 6 — Online Contract Issuance: Offered digitally through the NATS Apprenticeship Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in). Candidate must accept within stipulated time.

J&K Bank Apprentice Online Form 2026How to Apply

  1. STEP 1 — Register on Apprenticeship Portal (MANDATORY): Before applying, candidates MUST register on the NATS Apprenticeship Portal at https://nats.education.gov.in. Generate Enrolment Number (keep safe for future reference). Complete 100% profile on Apprenticeship portal. Ensure Mobile, Aadhaar, and Bank Account are inter-linked with DBT enabled.
  2. STEP 2 — Scan Documents: Scan Photograph (4.5×3.5 cm, 20-50 KB), Signature with black ink (140×60 px, 10-20 KB), Left Thumb Impression on white paper with black/blue ink (240×240 px, 20-50 KB), and Handwritten Declaration in English with black ink (800×400 px, 50-100 KB). All files must be JPG/JPEG format, minimum 200 DPI. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
  3. STEP 3 — Apply Online at J&K Bank Website: Visit https://www.jkb.bank.in → Go to Careers tab → Click on 'Engagement of Apprentices' → Click 'Click here for New Registration'.
  4. STEP 4 — Fill Registration Form: Enter Name, Contact details, and Email ID → A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated (also sent via Email/SMS) → Note down for future reference.
  5. STEP 5 — Complete Application: Use 'SAVE AND NEXT' to save partial progress → Upload Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, and Handwritten Declaration → Fill all remaining details (district/cluster choice, personal info, qualification details).
  6. STEP 6 — Preview & Submit: Click 'Preview' to verify entire application → Click 'COMPLETE REGISTRATION' (no changes allowed after this).
  7. STEP 7 — Pay Application Fee: Click 'Payment' Tab → Pay ₹700 (UR) or ₹500 (Reserved category) via Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro) / Credit Card / Net Banking / IMPS / Cash Cards / Mobile Wallets.
  8. STEP 8 — E-Receipt Generation: On successful payment, e-Receipt will be generated. Take printout of application form + e-Receipt for future reference.
  9. IMPORTANT: Candidate can apply for ONLY ONE district/area — in case of multiple registrations, only the latest application will be considered. Selection strictly for applied district/area only (no change permitted).

Recruitment Note: Training Duration & Certification

Apprenticeship training duration is 12 months (1 year). After successful completion and obtaining the Record of Progress (ROP) duly approved by training establishments, apprentices will be eligible to get the Certificate of Proficiency (COP) issued by the concerned Regional Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) on behalf of the Central Government.

Recruitment Note: Training Hours & Leave Policy

Training Hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (normal working hours of Bank's workmen cadre). Casual Leave: Only 12 days of casual leave available during the entire 12-month training period. Absence exceeding 30 days (including 12 CL days) will lead to contract termination without notice.

Recruitment Note: Stipend Payment Conditions

Stipend will be paid on completion of each month after adjusting unauthorized absence (if any). If Apprentice leaves training without giving 1-month prior notice (drops out / absconds / resigns), he/she will be liable to refund the stipend drawn for the last month. Premature termination due to fault of apprentice: apprentice must indemnify the Bank for training cost as determined by Apprenticeship Adviser.

Recruitment Note: IMPORTANT — NO Employment Guarantee

Apprentice has NO RIGHT to claim employment in J&K Bank after completion of training. Bank has NO obligation to offer regular / contractual / part-time employment to the apprentice during or after the apprenticeship period. Apprentices will be relieved immediately after completion of 12 months. Every apprentice is a trainee and NOT a worker — provisions of labour laws shall NOT apply.

Recruitment Note: Scribe Facility for PwBD Candidates

PwBD candidates with blindness, locomotor disability (both arms), cerebral palsy are eligible for scribe facility with valid disability certificate/UDID card (no medical cert required). Others need medical certificate as per Appendix-I. Compensatory time: 20 minutes per hour of examination. Scribe qualification must be 2-3 academic years BELOW the minimum qualification for the post (i.e. below Graduation level). Both candidate and scribe must provide Aadhaar verification.

(i) Age Relaxation: 1-year relaxation across all categories for Banking Associate cadre appointment (after successful apprenticeship + COP).
