- Nationality: Citizen of India, or subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with an eligibility certificate from Govt. of India (not required for Nepal's Gorkha subjects).
- Must be an Unmarried Female (except Widows of Defence Personnel category).
- Age must be 20-27 years as on 01/04/2027 (born between 01/04/2000 and 31/03/2007); Widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness: maximum 35 years.
- Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech degree (or final year, subject to prescribed cut-off percentage) in one of the notified Engineering streams listed in Para 3.
- For Widows applying under SSCW (Non-Tech)(Non-UPSC)-125: Graduation in any discipline.
