Indian Army JAG Entry 125th Course: Apply Online for 10 Posts
Short Information: The Indian Army has opened 10 combined vacancies for unmarried male and female Law Graduates seeking a Short Service Commission in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Branch through the 125th Course. This entry doesn't need a separate written exam — your CLAT PG 2026 score (conducted in December 2025) is what gets you shortlisted for the SSB interview, which is a real advantage if you've already cleared that exam. Candidates need a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in LLB and must be between 21 to 27 years as on 1 January 2027. Training runs for 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy, Chennai, starting April 2027, with a stipend of Rs 56,100 per month during training. On successful commissioning, officers step into the rank of Lieutenant at Pay Level 10 (Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500), with a total CTC of approximately Rs 17-18 lakh per annum once Military Service Pay and other allowances are added. The engagement is for 14 years with an option for Permanent Commission after 10 years, or release options at the 5, 10, or 14-year marks. Online applications open on 17 July 2026 at 3:00 PM and close on 17 August 2026 at 3:00 PM, so candidates with a valid CLAT PG 2026 score should register early since SSB centre and date selection is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
