Short Information: CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad, is hiring 30 Technician-1 (Group-II) across 11 trade disciplines including Electrician, Fitter, Draughtsman, Welder, RAC, Automobile, Instrument Mechanics, and more. This is a Group C central government position under CSIR — a Maharatna-level scientific body — which means job security, structured pay growth, and transfers across premier CSIR labs in India. The pay scale is Level-2 (₹19,900–₹63,200) with approximate total emoluments of ₹37,000 per month including HRA applicable at Dhanbad rates. In addition to base pay, you get Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, Medical reimbursement, Leave Travel Concession, and coverage under the National Pension System (NPS). - Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification: SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks.
- Plus ONE of the following: (a) ITI Certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution; OR (b) 2 years full-time experience as an Apprentice Trainee in the relevant trade from a recognized institution; OR (c) 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Ministry / Department / Organization / PSU / Autonomous Body under Government of India / State / UT.
- Age: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years as on the closing date 19/06/2026.
- Qualifications must be from recognized Universities/Institutions only.
- Part-time, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty experience will NOT be counted as valid experience.
- Experience period is counted only after acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification.
- Candidates from government departments on regular/permanent posts must apply through proper channel and upload a valid NOC from their employer.
