- Educational Qualification (Telecom Stream): Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent from a Central Govt./State Govt. recognized Institution/University in any of the following disciplines: (1) Telecommunications, (2) Electronics, (3) Radio, (4) Computer, (5) Electrical, (6) Information Technology (IT), (7) Instrumentation.
- Alternatively: M.Sc. (Electronics) OR M.Sc. (Computer Science) from a recognized university.
- Note: Candidates with higher qualifications like M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines are also eligible.
- Qualification must be completed and degree obtained on or before the closing date of receipt of application (03/07/2026). The qualification must be from a University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or declared as a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- Vision Requirement: The applicant must be capable of distinguishing principal colours and should have binocular vision.

As a Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) in BSNL, the selected candidate will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and management of telecom networks and infrastructure in the allotted Circle. The role involves maintenance of PSTN exchanges, broadband equipment, optical fibre networks, mobile base stations (BTS), transmission systems, and enterprise telecom equipment.
