Short Information: The Examination Section, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the Detailed Recruitment Advertisement (DRA) for Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) — a single-window recruitment drive covering Group-B and Group-C Non-Faculty posts across 32 participating institutes including multiple AIIMS campuses, ESIC, ICMR, Pasteur Institute, CNCI, Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, and others.

The examination covers 59 distinct post groups — from Pharmacist, Lab Technician, and Junior Engineer to Stenographer, Upper Division Clerk, and Staff Nurse. Pay levels range from Pay Level-2 to Pay Level-7 depending on the post and institute.

The online registration window opens on 13 June 2026 and closes on 03 July 2026 by 5:00 PM. The Computer Based Test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled for 25 to 27 July 2026. Candidates applying in more than one group must submit separate applications with separate fees for each group.

AIIMS CRE-5 Group B & C Recruitment 2026Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Educational qualification varies by post group — from 10th Pass (Group 16, 48) to PG / Master's Degree (Groups 1, 21, 27, 29, 37). Refer ANNEXURE-I for post-specific requirements.
Age limit: Typically 18–35 years; varies by post and institute as mentioned in ANNEXURE-I. Crucial date is 03/07/2026 (online registration closing date).
Experience wherever mentioned in the RR must be acquired after obtaining the essential educational qualification.
Experience certificates must be produced as and when demanded by the respective institute.
Candidates applying under SC/ST/OBC/EWS must possess valid category certificate in prescribed Central Government format.
EWS certificate must be for financial year 2025–2026 issued between 01/04/2026 and 03/07/2026 to be valid for this recruitment.
PwBD candidates must have benchmark disability of 40% or more with a valid disability certificate from a Competent Authority.
Government/PSU/Autonomous Body employees must upload NOC by 08/07/2026 or will not be permitted to appear in examination.
Technical posts (Group 4, 5, 6, 41, 59 etc.) require relevant engineering degree/diploma from a recognized institution.
Nursing posts (Group 34) require B.Sc. Nursing or GNM with valid registration from a Nursing Council.

Recruitment Details: CBT Exam Overview

Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT). AIIMS reserves the right to switch to Written Test mode with 10 days' notice.
Total Questions: 100 MCQs | Total Marks: 400 | Duration: 90 Minutes.
Section Structure: Paper divided into 5 sections of 20 questions each (18 minutes per section). Sections appear one by one — once a section's time lapses, it cannot be revisited.
Mark per Question: 4 marks each.
Negative Marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer (i.e., 1 mark penalty per 4 wrong answers).
Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS — 40% | OBC — 35% | SC/ST — 30% | PwBD (any category) — 30%.
Question Composition: 20 MCQs on General Knowledge & Aptitude + Computer Knowledge; 80 MCQs on Domain Subject (per group).
Medium: Bilingual (English/Hindi) for posts with 10th/12th eligibility; English only for technical/graduate-level posts.

Register via OTR (One Time Registration). Candidates with duplicate/different Candidate IDs will be rejected.
Login with your Candidate ID and complete the CRE-5 application form for the desired group(s).
Each group requires a separate application and a separate fee payment.
Upload required documents: photo, signature, left thumb impression in prescribed format.
Pay the application fee online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
Submit the application before 03/07/2026 (5:00 PM). No extension of date will be given under any circumstances.
If working in Government/PSU/Autonomous Body, upload NOC by 08/07/2026.
Take a printout of the Registration Slip and retain it along with proof of payment for your records.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, established by an Act of Parliament in 1956, is India's premier medical institution and a national apex body for medical education and research. Recognized as an Institution of National Importance, AIIMS New Delhi has been a trailblazer in healthcare delivery, medical training, and biomedical research for over six decades. The Examination Section of AIIMS New Delhi serves as the central coordinating body for recruitment examinations across the AIIMS network and other Central Government medical institutes. Through the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) platform, AIIMS provides a unified, transparent, merit-based hiring process for non-faculty Group-B and Group-C posts across multiple institutes simultaneously, eliminating the need for candidates to apply separately to each AIIMS. AIIMS New Delhi, however, is solely the examination conducting authority — service conditions, appointment, and posting are entirely governed by the respective participating institute.

Recruitment Note: Important: Single-Window but Multi-Rule Recruitment

CRE-5 operates as a single-window examination but each post within a group may carry different eligibility criteria, age limits, pay levels, and service conditions as per the Recruitment Rules (RR) of the respective institute. AIIMS New Delhi has no authority to alter or override any institute's RR. Candidates who qualify the CBT will be invited to exercise institute preferences, and seat allocation will be strictly on merit within the chosen preferences. Candidates who fail to submit preferences in the specified period will not be considered for any institute. Reporting on the allocated seat is mandatory — failure to report leads to permanent cancellation of candidature for that CRE.

Ans: Group B posts like Junior Administrative Officer and Assistant Dietician fall under Pay Level-6 (₹35,400–₹1,12,400). After adding DA at current rates (~55%), HRA, and Medical allowance, the starting in-hand salary is approximately ₹55,000 to ₹62,000 per month. Group C posts at Pay Level-2 (₹19,900) would fetch approximately ₹28,000–₹32,000 per month after allowances.

Q.2 What is the last date to apply for AIIMS CRE-5 2026? ▼

Ans: The last date to submit the online application for CRE-5 is 03 July 2026 by 5:00 PM. No extension will be given under any circumstances. Government/PSU employees must also upload their NOC separately by 08 July 2026. Stage II is a Skill Test / Trade Test (applicable to specific groups like Stenographer, DEO, Fire Technician, Programmer) which is qualifying in nature. After CBT results, qualified candidates exercise institute preferences, and seats are allocated on merit. Final appointment is subject to document verification and medical examination by the respective institute.
