💡 Expert Tip

The single biggest rejection trigger in this recruitment is the Objective Screen Score (OSS) — a 75-mark system used to shortlist candidates for interview. Most applicants lose marks simply by failing to upload supporting documents. Every criterion you claim — PubMed publications (upload PMID + PDF), funded projects (upload sanction letter), h-index (upload Google Scholar printout), fellowships (upload certificate) — needs a corresponding document. Scores with no document automatically become zero. Also: OBC candidates must have a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued in FY 2026-27. If you don't have one yet, upload your older certificate plus the acknowledgement slip from the issuing authority — otherwise your OBC reservation claim will be ignored. Employed candidates must upload NOC with the application itself, not later.

Common Questions (FAQs)

Q.1 What is the in-hand salary for Assistant Professor at AIIMS Awantipora?
Ans: Assistant Professor posts fall under Level-12 (₹1,01,500–₹1,67,400) as per the 7th CPC. After adding DA (currently ~50%), HRA (if quarters not allotted), Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA — for medical faculty), Transport Allowance, and other Institute allowances, the starting in-hand salary is approximately ₹1,50,000–₹1,70,000 per month for medical faculty. Non-medical faculty do not receive NPA, making their effective in-hand slightly lower by ₹20,000–₹25,000/month.
Q.2 What is the last date to apply online for AIIMS Awantipora Faculty Recruitment 2026?
Ans: The last date to submit the online application is 18/06/2026 by 5:00 PM. Applications open on 20/05/2026. After submission, no corrections or changes are permitted. No physical documents need to be sent. Candidates must apply through www.aiimsexams.ac.in only. The age cut-off date is also 18/06/2026 — all eligibility conditions must be met as on this date.
Q.3 Is there any negative marking in the AIIMS Awantipora Faculty selection process?
Ans: No. There is no written examination in this recruitment. The selection process consists of an Objective Screen Score (OSS) used for shortlisting (75 marks across academic achievements, publications, and teaching) and a final Interview by the Standing Selection Committee. No negative marking applies to OSS. However, any criterion claimed without supporting documents is automatically awarded zero marks.
Q.4 What is the age limit for General/UR category for AIIMS Awantipora Faculty posts?
Ans: For Assistant Professor and Associate Professor: upper age limit is 50 years as on 18/06/2026. For Additional Professor and Professor: upper age limit is 58 years. After applying age relaxation, the maximum age cannot exceed 55 years for Asst./Assoc. Professor posts. SC/ST get 5 years, OBC gets 3 years, PwBD gets 5 years, Govt. employees get 5 years (Central Govt. only). No age relaxation for Additional Professor/Professor posts.

For Non-Medical candidates (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Community Medicine): Master's Degree + PhD + 3 years experience after PhD.
Q.7 What is the selection process for AIIMS Awantipora Faculty Recruitment 2026?
Ans: Selection involves: (1) Initial eligibility check based on age, qualification, and experience. (2) Objective Screen Score (OSS) of 75 marks for shortlisting — applicable when applicants for a post exceed 10. Top 10 scorers (per post) are called for interview. (3) Virtual meeting by Screening Committee if credential clarification is needed. (4) Final interview by AIIMS Awantipora Standing Selection Committee — video-recorded. OSS marks are not used for final selection — only the interview assessment determines the outcome.
Q.8 Can candidates apply for more than one post code in AIIMS Awantipora Faculty Recruitment 2026?
Ans: Yes. Candidates may apply for more than one post code, provided they meet the eligibility criteria (qualification, experience, age) for each post applied for. Each post code requires a separate application and separate fee payment. If selected for multiple posts, the candidate must clearly indicate which post they wish to join at the time of selection — remaining posts offered will go to the next merit-ranked candidates.
