AAI's Regional Headquarters (North Eastern Region), based at Guwahati Airport, oversees airport operations and infrastructure development across all North Eastern states, making it a key institution for regional connectivity and aviation growth in the region.

💡 Expert Tip

Since AAI explicitly rejects applications from candidates who apply for more than one discipline, decide your single best-matched stream (Engineering branch or ITI trade) before starting your application on NATS or NAPS, as there is no option to correct this later. Make sure you register on the correct portal first — NATS (www.nats.education.gov.in) for Graduate/Diploma Apprentices and NAPS (www.apprenticeshipindia.org) for ITI Trade Apprentices — and search specifically for 'Airports Authority of India – RHQ NER, Guwahati' using Establishment ID EASKMC000039 (BOAT) or E08201800006 (NAPS), since applying to the wrong establishment listing is a common and costly mistake. Also note that if you have already completed an apprenticeship, discontinued one midway, or have 1 year or more of work/apprenticeship experience after your qualification, you are not eligible, so don't waste your one shot at this application if that applies to you. Keep your Medical Fitness Certificate requirement in mind early, since it must be obtained only from a Government Medical Officer or a Government Undertaking's Medical Officer at the time of joining.
