BASU Professor Recruitment 2026Eligibility Criteria
- Associate Professor: Doctoral degree in the relevant subject (including basic sciences) as per Annexure-I.
- Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years' experience as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist/Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or equivalent in PB-3 (₹15,600-39,100 + GP/AGP/RGP ₹5400-8000), OR 8 years' post-doctoral research with at least 6 publications (NAAS rating 7.5 or above).
- Assistant Professor: Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) in the relevant subject as per Annexure-II, from an Indian University or equivalent foreign degree.
- Assistant Professor: NET qualification is compulsory along with one NAAS-rated publication; waived for Ph.D. holders with UGC-2009 course work and at least two publications with NAAS rating not less than 4.
- Ph.D. is preferred for the post of Assistant Professor, if available.
- Basic degree in Veterinary Science at undergraduate level is essential for both posts, as per VCI Regulation 2016.
