Short Information: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna PSU, is hiring 48 Young Professionals across three plants — Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), IISCO Steel Plant (ISP, Burnpur), and Alloy Steels Plant (ASP, Durgapur) — under Advt. No. ISP/YP/2026/01. Applications are open from 22 May 2026 to 06 June 2026.
This is a fixed-term contract engagement, not a permanent job, but the pay package is genuinely competitive for industry professionals. YP-1 gets ₹70,000/month, YP-2 gets ₹1,00,000/month, and YP-3 gets ₹1,40,000/month — consolidated, with an annual increment of 4%/7%/10% based on performance. On top of that, SAIL provides company accommodation (2BHK at just ₹3,000/month), free OPD/IPD medical at plant hospital for self, spouse and two children, and reimbursement of up to ₹25,000/year for self-insurance premiums.
The roles span Projects, Works, and Materials Management divisions — covering Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, IT, Environment, and Cybersecurity functions. The minimum qualification is B.E./B.Tech with at least 65% marks (regular/full-time) in the relevant discipline, with post-qualification work experience of 3 years (YP-1), 6 years (YP-2), or 10 years (YP-3). Minimum age is 23 years; upper age limit is 35–42 years depending on the role.
Initial tenure is 3 years, extendable up to 5 years based on performance.
