Must hold a Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognised Indian university or accredited foreign university. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC/More Backward Classes/PwD candidates.
Must have cleared UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test), CSIR-NET, or SLET/SET conducted by UGC or equivalent accredited body — OR — must hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009 or 2016 (Ph.D. holders are exempted from NET/SLET/SET).
Must have knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan's culture.
Candidates registered in Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 under the old university Ordinances/Bye-laws are also exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

However, the contract period may be extended once by a maximum of 3 more years, subject to: (a) performance evaluation by the competent authority, and (b) decision of Raj-CES. The contract will not be extended beyond the date when the contractual employee attains 60 years of age. No separate order will be issued for non-extension after attaining 60 years. The competent authority may increase, decrease, or cancel these contractual posts at any time and also has the right to amend terms and conditions.

Recruitment Note: Important Notes on Reservation & Application

Candidates from outside Rajasthan who belong to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ati-Pichhda categories will be treated as General category applicants and must pay the General category fee. The 30% horizontal reservation for women applies category-wise within each vertical reservation category. Women's reservation vacancies unfilled due to non-availability of eligible female candidates are filled by male candidates of the same category — they are not carried forward to the next year. For OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) reservation, the Rajasthan-domicile OBC certificate valid at the time of application is required.
