Short Information: RITES Limited — a Govt. of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways and a Schedule 'A' Miniratna PSU — is hiring 35 Individual Consultants across 23 categories (VC No. YP/16/26 to YP/38/26) for deployment at a client site in Haryana. These are not entry-level positions — RITES is specifically looking for experienced Railway infrastructure professionals with deep expertise in civil, electrical, S&T, and geotechnical domains. Monthly consultancy fees range from ₹40,000 (QS & Billing Engineer) to ₹1,30,000 (Project Engineer — Cut & Cover), making the senior positions among the better-paying consulting roles in the Railway PSU sector. The engagement is initially for 12 months, extendable yearly up to age 65, with a 1-month notice period on either side. RITES Consultant Recruitment 2026Eligibility Criteria
- Indian Nationals with requisite qualification and experience as prescribed for each VC number.
- Age: Not exceeding 63 years as on the last date of submission of application (26/05/2026).
- Experience period: Training/internship/teaching/academic/fellowship/PhD research experience will NOT be counted as post-qualification experience.
- All qualifications and experience must be attained by the cut-off date of 26/05/2026.
- Candidates currently employed must submit experience certificate, joining letter, last 3 months salary slips or latest Form 16, and proof of continuous employment.
- Retired Government servants can apply as consultants through competitive process (per GFR Rule 177), but cannot be engaged against regular vacant posts.
- Candidates working in Government/PSU organizations must obtain proper relieving from their parent organization before joining RITES.
- Individual Consultants once engaged on full-time basis cannot take up any other assignment during the consultancy period.
