- Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India.

- Acceptable Feeder Trades (if AOCP candidates insufficient): IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.

- Stage 1 — Application Screening: Offline applications received by post/by hand are screened for eligibility (age, qualification, NCVT NAC, category).
- Stage 2 — Merit List for Trade Test: Cut-off percentage for calling candidates for Trade Test will be decided based on Marks secured in NCTVT (NAC).
- Stage 3 — Trade Test / Practical Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Trade Test / Practical Test (conducted in English or Hindi as per candidate's choice).
- Stage 4 — Final Merit List: Combined marks — 80% weightage to NCTVT (NAC) marks + 20% weightage to Trade Test/Practical Test marks.
- Stage 5 — Document Verification: Qualifying candidates called in order of Merit (category-wise). Number limited to notified vacancies + additional candidates called if earlier ones rejected.
- Stage 6 — Compulsory In-House Training: Selected candidates undergo 1-Month extensive in-house training on Safe Handling of Explosives, ammunitions, safety norms (AOCP candidates). Feeder trade candidates: 1-Month in-house + 2-Month On-Job Training (Total 3 months).
